Completion of Training/ Workshop on Lobby and Advocacy 23 rd Ashad, 2074 Kathmandu Ability Manch Reporter Two day s training/workshop on Lobby and Advocacy for the promotion and protection of rights of persons with disability was successfully conducted in collaboration with Netherland Leprosy Relief (NLR) and National Federation of the Disabled- Nepal (NFD-N). Twenty two attendees from NLR and from organization working for disability participated in the training. The key theme of the event was to facilitate the participants to lobby and advocate both in local and central level. Furthermore, action plan was also designed for future advocacy and lobby activities in their work area. The event was inaugurated by Dr. K.P Dhakal, Country Director of NLR. The participants remarked the training was effective, fruitful and recommended such sort of events should be consistently conducted in the near future.

दोश्रो स‌ंबिधान सभाको निर्वाचन हुदा अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरुको छुट भएको हुदा अन्तरीम संविधान २०६३ अनुसार २६ जना सभासदको मनोनयन हुदा अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरुलाइ अनिवार्य मनोनयन गर्नुपर्ने भनि नेपाली काँग्रेशका सभापति श्री शुशील कोइराला संगको भेट । उक्त भेटमा अपाङ्गता भएका व्यक्तिहरुलाइ अनिवार्य सहभागी गराउने प्रतिवद्धता सभापति  शुशील कोइरालाले ब्यक्त गर्नु भयो ।

Press Statement From Nepal Disabled Human Rights Center (DHRC-Nepal) Interaction on "Access in education of disabled people & Verdict of Supreme Court" Kathmandu 19 September. Although government has said to provide scholarship for 85 thousand disabled students in running year many stakeholders said that the facility given by government is insufficient for such student.
